TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MR MOWING TSV

T&Cs

MR Mowing TSV

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by MR Mowing TSV in Townsville, Queensland.

By accepting a quote, approving work, making a payment or allowing work to begin, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Services We Provide

MR Mowing TSV provides lawn mowing and general garden maintenance services as described in your quote.

Our services may include:

  • lawn mowing
  • lawn edging
  • whipper snipping
  • basic garden maintenance
  • weed removal
  • general yard clean-ups
  • green waste removal
  • other lawn care services specifically listed in your quote.

2. Services We Do Not Provide

MR Mowing TSV specializes in lawn care and general garden maintenance.

We do not provide specialist services outside our normal lawn care and garden maintenance services.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • tree removal
  • tree lopping
  • large tree pruning
  • stump grinding
  • stump removal
  • removal of large branches
  • irrigation installation, repairs or fault finding
  • landscaping construction
  • structural work
  • hazardous-material removal
  • other specialist work that is not specifically included in our quote.

If a job requires specialist equipment, qualifications or services outside our normal lawn care and garden maintenance work, we may decline that part of the job.

3. Quotes

Our quotes are based on the information available and the condition of the property when the quote is prepared.

Unless stated otherwise, the quoted price covers only the work described in the quote.

If the condition of the property is significantly different from what could reasonably be seen when the quote was prepared, additional work may be required.

This may include:

  • excessively long grass
  • heavy weed growth
  • heavily overgrown areas
  • difficult access
  • excessive green waste
  • large amounts of rubbish or debris
  • work that was not included in the original quote.

Where practical, we will discuss any additional charge with you and obtain your approval before carrying out additional chargeable work.

4. Accepting a Quote

A quote may be accepted verbally, in writing, electronically, by payment of a deposit or by authorizing us to start the work.

By accepting the quote, you agree to the work described in the quote and these Terms & Conditions.

5. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, residential work is payable within 7 days of completion.

Invoices must be paid by the due date shown on the invoice.

If an account remains overdue, we may seek to recover reasonable costs directly associated with recovering the overdue amount, where permitted by law.

A deposit or upfront payment may be required for larger jobs, materials, equipment hire or other work where we need to commit significant costs before starting.

Commercial customers may have different payment terms stated on their quote or invoice.

6. Deposits and Materials

Where a deposit is required, the amount will be stated on the quote or invoice.

If you cancel after we have purchased materials, hired equipment or incurred other reasonable costs specifically for your job, we may retain or charge the amount reasonably required to cover those costs.

Any remaining refundable amount will be returned to you.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, or an appointment is missed without reasonable

notice, we may charge reasonable costs actually incurred as a result of the cancellation or failed attendance, where permitted by law.

This may include costs associated with travel, labour, equipment or other resources specifically committed to the appointment.

We will not charge a cancellation fee simply because you change your mind where no reasonable costs have been incurred.

If we need to cancel or reschedule your job, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and arrange another suitable time.

8. Access to Your Property

You are responsible for providing reasonable and safe access to the areas included in the agreed work.

This may include:

  • providing access through gates
  • moving vehicles or other movable items
  • keeping pets secured
  • advising us of known hazards
  • ensuring areas to be worked on are reasonably accessible.

If we cannot safely access the property or carry out the agreed work because access has not been provided, the job may need to be rescheduled.

Reasonable costs caused by an unnecessary or avoidable failed attendance may apply where permitted by law.

9. Property Conditions and Hidden Hazards

Please tell us about any known hazards or items that may affect the lawn care or garden maintenance work before we begin.

This may include:

  • garden edging
  • sprinkler heads
  • garden lighting
  • buried objects
  • exposed objects in grass
  • unsafe structures
  • hazardous materials
  • other hazards that may not be visible.

We will take reasonable care when carrying out the work. However, some objects or hazards may not be visible or reasonably identifiable, particularly when hidden beneath grass, soil, garden beds or other vegetation.

If we discover a hazard or condition that makes the work unsafe or substantially different from the quoted work, we may stop the affected work and discuss the options with you.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Lawn Mowing and Garden Maintenance

The result of lawn and garden maintenance can depend on factors such as:

  • grass type
  • lawn condition
  • grass length
  • moisture
  • weeds
  • weather
  • terrain
  • previous maintenance.

Very long, wet or neglected grass may require additional work and may not achieve the same finish as a regularly maintained lawn in one visit.

If additional mowing, labour or waste removal is required because of the condition of the property, we will discuss this with you where practical, before carrying out additional chargeable work.

Unless specifically included in your quote, removal of lawn clippings, leaves or other green waste is not automatically included.

11. Green Waste

Green waste removal is included only when stated in the quote.

If additional green waste is created or needs to be removed because of additional work, we may charge for the additional labour and disposal costs with your approval.

12. Weather

Because our services are carried out outdoors, work may be delayed because of:

  • rain
  • storms
  • extreme heat
  • saturated ground
  • unsafe conditions
  • other weather-related circumstances.

We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected work.

A reasonable weather-related delay does not mean that we have failed to provide the service.

13. Regular Maintenance

Regular mowing and maintenance services are generally scheduled according to the agreed frequency.

The exact service date may change because of weather, public holidays, seasonal growth, equipment problems or other reasonable scheduling issues.

Either you or MR Mowing TSV may end an ongoing maintenance arrangement by giving reasonable notice, unless another written agreement applies.

We may review our pricing if the property, scope of work, service frequency or our operating costs materially change.

We will let you know about any price change before the new price applies to future services.

14. Photos

We may take photographs before, during or after a job for:

  • job records
  • quoting
  • quality control
  • documenting the condition of the property
  • dealing with questions or disputes about the work.

We will not intentionally publish photographs containing identifiable people, names, addresses or vehicle registration plates without permission.

We may use suitable photographs of completed lawn and garden work for advertising or social media where personal information is not identifiable.

If you do not want photographs of your property used for marketing, please let us know.

15. Customer Instructions

If you request a particular product, method or result, we will take your instructions into account.

If we believe your requested method may cause a problem, we will let you know where reasonably possible.

We will still carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill.

16. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes, restricts or changes any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot legally be excluded.

Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, our services will be provided with due care and skill, will be fit for any purpose you have made known to us, and will be provided within a reasonable time where no specific timeframe has been agreed.

If a service does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may have rights to a remedy depending on the circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents you from exercising your legal rights.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version that applies to your job will generally be the version provided or made available when you accept the quote.

If we make a material change that affects an existing ongoing agreement, we will let you know before the change applies.

18. Contact Us

If you have a question, concern or complaint about our services, please contact MR Mowing TSV as soon as possible so we can discuss the issue and work towards a reasonable solution.
